For as long as I can remember food has been the biggest love/hate relationship of my life. Some lucky people are born being able to ‘take it or leave it’ with food.. for me it’s always been simply take it, and then take a bit more please. Food and I have not always had a healthy relationship, nor a happy one, and in many ways food still consumes me far more than I consume it. But my growing love for fitness over the last 15 years has brought us to a mutual understanding.
Now in my mid forties and three children down, every day I feel a step closer to finding the happy medium, the all important balance or equilibrium that can elude me.
I am not an expert. I have no nutrition qualifications or personal training diplomas. I only know how to eat and exercise to keep my own body and mind on track.
But if any of the recipes, tips, thoughts and musings I share on this blog do so much as help one other person feel a little fitter, healthier or happier, if only for an hour or two, then that is something.
