This is the quickest ever overnight oats recipe for when you know you’re going to be in a rush the following morning. It’s a cool and creamy alternative to porridge as we head into spring time – but the addition of cinnamon means it remains warming and comforting enough for those of us still longing for winter stodge!
Ingredients
50g porridge oats
1 banana
150ml milk of your choice
1 large dollop greek yogurt
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (or whole teaspoon if you prefer a stronger flavour)
Your choice of berries, chopped nuts or seeds, dessicated coconut or more sliced banana
Method
Put the oats into a bowl. Put all the rest of the ingredients except the toppings into a blender and whizz, then pour the mix over the oats, and refridgerate overnight.The following morning simply add your toppings of choice (you could drizzle over some maple syrup or honey for sweetness if you haven’t included the protein powder) and enjoy.
