This bircher bowl takes just moments to prepare and is then waiting for you in the morning- cool, creamy and bursting with fruit flavours, the ideal breakfast for those glorious sunrise days.
Make it the night before so that the oats have plenty of time to soak and plump up.
30g rolled oats
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
100g ripe strawberries
100g greek or coconut yogurt
100ml milk of your choice
Toasted flaked almonds to serve
Prepare the bircher the night before you intend to eat it. Put the oats and muesli and protein powder (if using) into a bowl. Slice half the strawberries and add them to the dish before stirring in the yogurt and milk.
The following morning remove the bowl from the fridge and top the bircher with the remaining strawberries and a good sprinkling of toasted flaked almonds.
